Gwen Scott Diabetes Professional Development Grants Program
The program provides financial support to Victorian health professionals to further their knowledge and understanding of diabetes, management strategies or health promotion, as well as to develop useful networks with other health professionals through their participation in these activities.
DA–Vic established the Gwen Scott Grants program in 2006 as part of our commitment to supporting Victorian health professionals in their work with people with diabetes and in the prevention of diabetes. It is open to DA–Vic health professional members of all levels of training and experience, including those new to the diabetes community.
The amount dedicated to the program is at the discretion of DA–Vic’s Board of Directors, but it will not be less than $10,000.00. The actual amount per grant and number of grants made will depend on the applications received. If the applications received are of poor quality or for activities not judged as appropriate by the selection panel, the total amount made available will not be distributed.
As the Gwen Scott Diabetes Professional Development Grants Program award process is competitive, the primary selection criterion is the merit of the individual proposal.
Applications are now closed for the Gwen Scott Grants Program for 2012.
All applicants will be notified of their success in the coming months.
