Diabetes Camps Victoria (DCV) camping program is a unique experience for campers, parents and volunteers.

We need enthusiastic people such as yourself to be Recreation Volunteers, Diabetes Educators, Dietitians and Medical Officers to support and be role models for over 225 campers aged between eight to seventeen years.

Volunteering for Diabetes Camps Victoria gives you experience in:
• Leadership and communication
• Event Management
• Working with Children and Adolescents aged 8 to 17 years with a chronic illness
• Health professional work experience in a non-clinical setting
• Making a positive difference to the lives of children and adolescents with type 1 diabetes.

To volunteer with us you must be:
• At least 18 years of age
• People with sense of fun and adventure
• Able to provide two references
• Available for an interview on a pre-arranged date
• Able to attend a training day and adhere to DCV camp code of conduct and policy
• Available for the full duration of camp program (usually 4 days)
• Able to maintain confidentiality at all time

You must have completed a Working With Children (WWC) Check.
